About myself: | I worked and studied English in English-speaking countries, performed as a translator and interpreter, also as a consultant and an analyst of the Russian market for foreign companies for over 7 years. I traveled all over USA and lived in Canada, On for three years. Based on my previous experience I can state that translator is able to interpret language when there's good understanding of mental and cultural differences of translated languages. It is especially important at business negotiations. I have successfully done it many times. Consecutive translation is difficult and skillful task performed by translators. An interpreter has very little time to comprehend and interpret material. It requires deep knowledge, high concentration and tones of experience. Separately I would like to say about the area of translation. Interpreters are people, not gods, and so no one, even the most experienced person can not know everything. Synchronized translator is needed to know a language area and topics they is going to translate. Best, if approx. themes and texts are given in advance. Otherwise some incorrectness in special term translation is possible. In my spare time I like reading both in Russian and English, and I often read www.economist.com. I also like watching movies in English. I like travelling, biking, swimming, cross-country skiing, figure skating, fitness, drawing. Please, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. |
